TECHNOLOGY IN CHEMISTRY: REFLECTIONS

WEEK 1 & 2

Cancelled due to Yang Dipertuan Agong’s birthday and for Malaysia's Day

WEEK 3

At first class of Information And Communication Technology Of Chemistry (SKU3013), I was very excited to attend this class because i love so much technology at the same time with chemistry. As I learn about the technology and chemistry, I feel like i always learn something new and explore more thing that can challenge me. The lecturer of this subject is Dr. Hajjah Asmayati bt Yahaya. Dr. introduces herself because all of us is from first semester who are newbie in UPSI. Besides, she also gives some briefing related to this subject and told us about the assignments of this subject.

WEEK 4

For the second week of lecture, the first group for Peer Teaching which is for Assignment 3 was presented in front of the class. The group was consist of 3 members who are Irwan, Akmal and Fitri are presenting about the Google Docs. In the time being, this was the first time I used the Google Docs especially Google Forms because I always use standard Microsoft Words and Microsoft Excel. All of these Google Sheets are available as online software to do work compared to Microsoft Files. I feel grateful because they teach us on how to use the tools based on its function.

WEEK 5

Faqihah, Nabilah and Ridzwan are the presentors in week 5 to present about Blogspot. I am happy to learn about blogspot because I always had a dream to become a blogger. A blog is an online diary or journal located on a website. The content of a blog typically includes text, pictures, videos, animated GIFs and even scans from old physical offline diaries or journals and other hard copy documents. After the session, i set a goal for my self to built a blogspot as i influenced by many blogger outside that always spread positivity and love in their blog.

WEEK 6
For this week, the were three groups presented which were for Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint and Wix.

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet which are features calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables, and a macro programming language. It has the basic features of all spreadsheets, using a grid of cells arranged in numbered rows and letter-named columns to organize data manipulations like arithmetic operations.Anis, Farah and Kathie were available to teach us some of the tools because of lack of time but in that short time, I learn a lot of things.

Nadiah, Rosnani and Fatin are in charge to share about the Microsoft Power Point. PowerPoint is a presentation program which originally designed to provide visuals for group presentations within business organizations, but has come to be very widely used in many other communication situations, both in business and beyond. PowerPoint can be used to deliver a presentation in a number of other ways:

-Displayed on the screen of the presentation computer or tablet (for a very small group)

-Printed for distribution as paper documents (in several formats)

-Distributed as files for private viewing, even on computers without PowerPoint

-Packaged for distribution on CD or a network, including linked and embedded data

-Transmitted as a live broadcast presentation over the web

Embedded in a web page or blog

-Shared on social networks such as Facebook or Twitter

-Set up as a self-running unattended display

-Recorded as video/audio, to be distributed as for any other video

Akbar and Arief and Atirah were the presentors for Wix.com. Wix.com Ltd. is a cloud-based web development platform and it allows users to create HTML5 websites and mobile sites through the use of online drag and drop tools. Users can add social plug-ins, e-commerce, online marketing, contact forms, e-mail marketing, and community forums to their web sites using a variety of Wix-developed and third-party applications. The Wix website builder is built on a freemium business model, earning its revenues through premium upgrades.
